Brian Kilmeade Falsely Claims President Bush Never Said There Was a Link Between Iraq and Al Qaeda

On the August 6th edition of "Fox and Friends", host Brian Kilmeade claimed that the President never said that there was a link between Iraq and Al Qaeda:

This statement, is 100% false. On June 17, 2004, President Bush stated before reporters:
"The reason I keep insisting that there was a relationship between Iraq and Saddam and al Qaeda, because there was a relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda."

Now it is up to Brian Kilmeade and Fox News to issue a correction. You can tell Fox to issue a correction:

Chris,

I’m often confused about Corporate attitudes toward China, and in turn some media coverage. while I agree that the Olympic games, ought remain true to their original nature, we know that that day is over. The games are politicized and commercialized.

Of course we know the political component has always been there. The commercialization aspect was accelerated with the advent of the “professional athlete” in the Olympics. Obviously, the USA and other countries allowed this devil to enter the equation under the message that “Other countries use or train at an equivalent level to a professional and these athletes are in reality subsidized by their respective governments.”
So that obviously means that we should do it. Right? maybe, i don’t have an answer to that one.

What really bothers me is how we can so effusively speak in lofty terms and complement China on so many fronts, when in reality they exist as one of many long-standing Rogue Regimes.

!) Schenzhen surveillance is not surprising. part of the multifaceted approach of American Businesses to court the Chinese. As reprehensible as we might find this in our country( I’m not even sure about that now, look at the phone Co’s cooperation with the Bush regime on Wiretapping), Businesses always seem to use the excuse that “business is business” and don’t expound on philosophical differences, including governance. The irony is, that the same neglect and cavalier attitude by businesses for atrocities committed by the government, could also be their undoing, should that government turn on them( ie Nationalization.)

Chris, we have to change the “greed” directive which seems to emanate into the far reaching innards of our industrial complex and to a degree the “win at all cost” attitude, which is a byproduct of our capitalist system. While we may have the finest system of governance in the world, unchecked, it gives way to the free for all which has been building in our country. The last eight years have seen its advance to the point of calamity. Any great nation has as its own enemy, the bi product of neglect, ignorance, lack of oversight and willful discharge of its responsibilities to its citizens. What we are seeing here is a willingness for our basic institutions to look away from corruption in favor of profit. Unfortunately, that is the disputable state of our country. In November, we can change that. Will we?
